The Narco AR 850 utilizes a new solid state sensor to report altitude up to 30,000 feet. These compact units are designed to be used in non-pressurized, temperature-controlled environments including those under or behind the instrument panel. The AR 850 is easily installed when using the optional quick release mounting tray that also facilitates effortless removal for servicing.

The MK 12D Cessna replacement is physically configured to directly replace the ARC/Cessna NAV/COM 300 series (RT-308 through RT-328T) installed in most single engine Cessna aircraft manufactured between 1970 and 1975. The MK 12D Cessna replacement features a powerful 760 channel communications transceiver with crystal clear audio, automatic leveling, automatic squelch, and a 10 watt audio amplifier. The navigation side consists of a 200-channel (VOR) NAV receiver that drives existing Cessna indicators. The unit includes glideslope and DME channeling.

Narco Avionics is over 50 years old. As a result there are thousands of our radios in service that are well over 20 years old. As one might imagine it is extremely difficult for Narco to maintain parts vendors and field technical training for many of these older radios. While we have your radio, we update it with the significant modifications that have been incorporated since its manufacture. This brings new convenience to you, and extends the service life of your radio, too.

90 day service warranty.

Narco offers a 90 day limited warranty on most models of radios that it services. If your radio was manufactured within the last several years, it is probably covered by 90 day service warranty. Check with Narco Avionics for warranty coverage by specific model.

Special Support Programs

There's much more to Narco factory service than repairing a NAV/COM or transponder. Here are some special programs:

Sooner or later, even a good radio is going to need some help.

Modern avionics are much, much more reliable than just a decade ago. The digital revolution in avionics that introduced conveniences such as the frequency storage/transfer feature found on Narco MK l2D+'s and the extensive use of surface mount technology in the NAV122/D also extended MTBFs significantly.

But it's a tough world out there on the other side of your instrument panel. Heat, vibration, high humidity, abuse, and salt-laden moisture are just some of the forces which can strain any brand of radio past the breaking point.

Although the cost of modern avionics, in real terms, has declined sharply over the past decade, the cost of field service has not That's why it makes sense to send your radio in for factory service when you suspect a complex problem. Send it yourself.
